As part of these developments the Digital Locksmiths created a suite of tools and utilities to assist and accelerate JavaCard and JavaCard applet development:
- Generic JavaCard implementation as a PC-reference executable. This acts as the foundation and enables the prototyping, addition & testing of client specific IP components.
- Eclipse plug-in for development and debugging of JavaCard applets. This enables applets to be created and debugged within the Eclipse IDE while being executed in the PC-reference model.
- Bespoke versions of the JavaCard CAP file converter to facilitate ROM mask generation.
- Analysis utilities for CAP & EXP file structure and for JDWP (Java Debug Wire Protocol) communications.
- Global Platform utilities for loading and managing applets.
